Save Money On Groceries – Shopping For Healthy Food

When visiting Utah, one would assume there is probably not a slurry of authentic Mexican restaurants around. Especially any that cannot be considered a franchise or chain restaurant. Well think again. Utah has a great array of Mexican food restaurants that are as authentic as you can find.

“It all goes back to the long days of summer, growing up just outside Philadelphia where each Sunday the entire neighborhood would gather for a block party of sorts. As a child, there was nothing better than Mr. Kaufman’s burgers. Philip Kaufman was a butcher and he owned the only prime beef butcher shop in the area. He definitely knew his food. You could smell his burgers cooking over the grill for blocks. All the kids lined up, waiting to get their hands on the first one.

My other grandmother wasn’t as much about order and tradition, but loved filling her cupboards with food her grandchildren loved. She was famous, at least to me, for her sausage pie. And never would a visit go by without at least one trip to the fish and chip shop: Battered and fried cod or plaice with chips (French fries) and usually sprinkled with salt and lathered with vinegar. Some would opt for the mushy peas on the side which was merely a green soup made from peas.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the pineapple, rice, onion, teriyaki sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and seasoning salt. Add the taco recipes, mixing it with the other ingredients. Shape into six patties, about 3/4 thick.

You can also vacuum package foods for shorter-term storage in the refrigerator, where they can be kept for up to two weeks. Label and date each package with a permanent marker.

My original plan for dinner was to make a simple batch of ground beef tacos pollo, served authentic Mexican style. As I was browning the beef I was trying to think of some ways to jazz them up a bit. This is what I came up with.

But then it is back to healthy eating again. And this is not boring at all. Our recipes offer a wide variety of protein choices and vegetables play a star role in the recipes. Most recipes are low carb and very low fat.

And finally, if possible, be sure your phone or computer is located further away from the living room. That way, you will have no other option but to walk from the couch to the phone to make a call or to check your email. While on the phone, stand up instead of sitting down. At least limit your calls to five minutes or less, OK? Don’t fret, you can always make another call later. Another productive walk from the couch to the phone right?
