The DVD and CD technology is very wide nowadays, and most people get confused as to what particular blank media and CD/DVD duplicator equipment to get. No wonder, the varieties are endless nowadays. There are label printers, inkjet printers. You can buy blank CDs and DVD burners, disc duplication towers, as well as the necessary software. Even so, how will you know whether you’re getting the right one for your needs?
It seems like a monumental task. You have visions of recording studios, thousands of dollars spent, cd duplication services… and how do you get those nice CD cases with attractive inserts? And what about the CD imprint? It’s just too much!
In a corporate environment there are many uses for CD and DVD duplication. DVD media typically holds 4.7 GB of information, and the new dual-layer DVD-Rs will hold up to 8.54 GB of info. This would be great for larger or a multiple file duplication project.
OUse a burn-proof feature on your computer. It might take up more time by slowing down the speed of burning process but in the end you would be assured with a better quality disc.
People tend to overestimate the level of professional equipment required to make a great coaching audio. For years I used an old apple computer for recording and editing purposes and it worked great. If you have an apple just open the “garage band” and select create a pod cast. If you have a pc don’t panic, their creative tools are actually very good now days as well WINDOWS MEDIA ALLOWS YOU TO EASILY CREATE AUDIO RECORDINGS.
Always ask for print samples of the different print methods used by the duplicator. This will help you decide which print method will look the best and be the most cost effective for you job.
The actual physical presence of the audio CD showing up and then sitting around on their desk was a reminder that they should check the website too, and put the date for this month’s webinar on their calendar.
My suggestion is to go online and see what the “big wigs” charge, then use that as a template to figuring out how much you’ll want to charge. If you set a sensible price, nice turnaround time, and superior disks, you’ll not only have customers coming back, word-of-mouth will really get you jump started.
