I play in a rock band, and I am used to live instruments: guitars, keyboards, bass, and drums. With the launch of the iPad we decided to record a song using its applications.

Artist Courtney Drummey is a singer and song writer from Simsbury, CT. She will be accompanied by Mike Johnson from Harwinton on lead guitar, Jack Johnson from Harwinton on drums, Ethan Kyzivat from Simsbury on keyboard, Will Scully from Simsbury on violin, guitar and mandolin, and Cameron Dickson of Burlington on bass. “We are looking forward to our performances at the Lake again this year” says Courtney.

For me the DMV serves more as a creative vacuum. The DMV isn’t as progressive musically as other places in the world. I take my inspiration from my travels to Germany, Japan, Russia, Indonesia, Saudi- Arabia, Turkey, Portugal, Spain, Morocco. There is great music all over the world but the DMV seems to only want to hear a few specific genres. But that’s just my opinion.
