When you are at home you can have more formal mindfulness baltimore sessions where you can meditate for a longer period of time without being disturbed. If you have had a particularly difficult day, when you meditate at home after work, you may need two or more sessions before the mind calms down and comes to terms with the events of the day. The mind needs this opportunity to digest and clear the day’s activities. If it does not do this, thoughts back up and clog the mind. You can not learn as you are not getting the opportunity to observe and therefore habitually repeat the same mistakes.
This is not uncommon. As mentioned earlier, meditation is designed to connect you with what you need at the moment. And, given our strained life-styles, sometimes what we need most — for our balance, clarity, and strength — is sleep.
I like to meditate at least 3 times a day. First thing in the morning, at lunch time and just before midnight. These are the times that work best for me, but obviously not for every one. The point here is try to do your meditation at the same time every day and try for at least 3.
You will notice thoughts pop into your head now and again, perhaps quite often at first. Your mind has a certain ebb and flow to it. Accept it, and accept yourself. Your mind and body both know what they’re doing. Acknowledge the thought(s), and then bring your focus back to your breath.
Exercise 3: Put your hands about 3-4 inches in front of your solar plexus, your fingers pointing away from you and your palms facing each other horizontally. Very slowly rotate your palms clockwise but with the right hand slightly ahead of the left. After a while, start going anti-clockwise.
If you can really feel the benefits of meditation (and not just rationally understand them) then it will be far easier to have the energy needed to integrate it into you day.
In conclusion: Whether you decide to use meditation for health reasons or spiritual reasons is up to you and what you need in your life personally. Meditation is a great stress reliever for those times when things get tough. No matter your choice you will benefit greatly from meditation.
