How To Make Money Writing Blogs From Home

Everyday there is some sort of news about criminal acts on the Internet and especially violating our children. Most recently in the news I saw an article where there was a “Facebook child abuse image ring.” I mean what in the world is wrong with these people. Now the criminals are coming into our homes through the Internet. As parents we have to be able combat this problem by educating our children and keeping all lines of communication open.

These work really well. People absolutely love stories about other people… just think of reality TV shows and how popular they are with people of all age groups… all over the world.

On the other hand, I say this with a sheepish smile, since Motivation are free, I set up another blog in Google for my family and friends where I simply post pictures of the family and news about them. This I have no need to be picked up by web search engines, and just pass out the URL to my kids and close friends. Which is another way to use blogs.

Lots of advertisement options. Small niche online blogs don’t have that many advertising options. They have Google AdSense/yahoo’s version and that’s about it. Many of these smaller niches don’t care about advertising only. Internet marketing niches don’t have that problem. There are tons of affiliate and direct advertising methods. An internet marketing firm will know about Google AdWords, a small pet store might not.

OHumanity. One of the things that blog readers are most interested to see is the face behind the company. Many blog readers like a company run by people who have similar concerns. Building humanity into your blog by detailing your company’s efforts to help the community, for example, is a great way to build credibility and customer loyalty.

Always keep in mind your readers are there to read information on your particular niche; they are not interested in what you had for breakfast or what movie you watched last night. Try to keep your content at least 75% related to the niche of your blog.

The problem with all blog spam is that it relies on SEO “tactics” that the search engines hate. Sometimes a nuisance, sometimes illegal and almost always results in more garbage on the Internet. There is nothing worse than having to wade through someone’s garbage to find good quality information. But one thing is for sure, for as long as blog spam works, one man’s garbage will continue to be a spammer’s goldmine.
