A blog is sometimes called web log or weblog. It is a type if online journal or diary, often including personal comments as well as web links and images. Many people keep a blog as a type of personal creative exercise, but you can easily use this popular online type of writing to market your business. Blogs are very popular right now and they can be a great and inexpensive way to contact more customers.
Make a posting routine. This requires lots of self-discipline, but it’s essential to your blog. If it’s not updated constantly, then there’s no Cooking. Try experimenting until you find one that fits your pace. There are some blog that post around 2-3 articles each day, while others post about one each week.
Also be sure to check out some online blogs. Parents and stroller owners often publish reviews and experiences about their purchases online. Think of a relevant keyword for your blog. A word or phrase which best describes the content of your blog should be used in the title, and repeated throughout the blog, including, importantly, in the first paragraph. Bear in mind however, that if the word is repeated too often, the blog will look over optimised. There are no strict rules about how many times your keyword should appear in your blog, although as a guideline, if you repeat the keyword every 100 words that would give you a ‘keyword density’ of 1%. Generally, a keyword density of between 1-5% is acceptable. Anything over 7% would appear to be too keyword rich and over optimised.
Whilst there is no hard and fast rule as to blog length, it is generally accepted that 200-500 is the minimum acceptable length. Ideally, a blog should be between 500 to 1000 words. This will allow a level of detail which gives the reader an adequate amount of information, but does not overload them.
All the industries will have a set of bloggers including the industry that you write about. Ensure that you participate in the discussions on other relevant blogs. By doing this, you will make yourself visible and the other bloggers from the industry will visit your posts and comment on them as well.
