The first rule about blogging is to make friends. Despite the fact that some blogs are actually corporate, serious and professional in their approach, most blogs these days are friendly and personal. So, what do you have to do to bring people into your blog? Blog hopping. Yes, visit other people’s blogs and give them comments (genuine ones, please) and provide a link back to your blogs. Advertise your own products/services – This works for online entrepreneurs-bloggers. As an entrepreneur and a blogger at the same time, you will be able to advertise your products through your own Comment on the progress here and increase your sales as a result.

I’m sure you’re wondering by now how this is done. Well it is really quite simple all you have to do is contact the owners of popular blogs in your niche. For the niches I am involved in I have a long list of blogs that I can contact for guest posting. To look for blogs in your niche search for top blogs on Google or use Stumble Upon. Stumble Upon is great because you can search in your niche and it’s easy to find popular pages with great content and they are often online blogs. Start compiling your list of blogs so you can easily find new sites to guest post on.

Make comments in other blogs Since blogs and blog posts are picked up really fast by search engines you can profit from this by adding your comments to other people’s blogs. It’s the natural way of exchanging links in the blog world. Posting useful and relevant comments frequently also brands you as an expert!

An RSS Feed lets readers of your blog subscribe to your blog feed to receive updates in their email inbox whenever a new posting is made. This gets you tons of repeat visitors without any effort!
