In the middle 1990’s everyone started talking about needing a website. Now, the new “must have” is a web log or blog. While blogs can come in all shapes and sizes, a blog is just a very simple way to publish a journal, record of events, thoughts, ideas or whatever the author wants to write about. A blog sits on a website – whether that site is run by you or managed by a company that will “host” your blog.
Websites are more expensive to create and maintain than blogs. Unless you are skilled with using HTML code, understand CSS scripts and how to use FTP, you will no doubt have to hire a webmaster to take care of these things for you. This of course costs money. Any future changes will also incur additional costs which could make owning a website less attractive for many.
At the end of the day, if I have a choice between commenting on a dofollow blog and a nofollow blog, I’ll opt for the dofollow (assuming all else is equal such as PR for the respective URLs).
Adolescence is an exciting time of life. You get to watch your chubby-cheeked children turn into near adults who have raging hormones and attitudes that often come as a surprise. How do I keep my kid off drugs? I found cigarettes in my son’s backpack; what should I do now? My daughter wants to go to an all-night rock concert; should I let her? It’s hard to know the answer to these questions without the support and advice from other mothers who are going through the same thing. Follow me for moms of teens can provide the support you need during this turbulent time.
Blog posts come in many different types and lengths. Too short and your content is likely to be weak and to the reader irrelevant. Too long and you online blogs risk boring them. If you want to keep your blog posts fresh and interesting you should post little and often… that means 500-750 words three times a week.
The fastest way to promote a product online is pay per click advertising because you can get meaningful traffic the same day your campaign is set up. Other forms of free traffic will take you longer to receive the benefit back for the effort you put in, however they can be great sources of long term traffic.
