Customers. You’ve worked hard to build your business and you should have found out by now that there is a necessary component to your success. Customers. The common denominator between a giant rise to profit and the greatest plummet to failure. Customers. Here’s my point folks, sometimes we build and build and build -finally get to that “hey, we’re successful” part -and then seem to forget exactly who it was that put us in that position in the first place.
Where will the sign go? What size will fit in that area? Will a lighted sign work? All of these questions must have answers before a sign can go up. The city has rules and codes when it comes to signage, some cities even limit the size. Going to city hall and talking with them will help people get the answers they need. A signs company can also help with this because they deal with this on a daily basis.
Some people choose not to have a full service sign company for many reasons. One being that there may not be a good one located in their area. Another may be that you may want to do some of the work yourself to save money. You may also choose to hire someone to do the work for you. If you are in a strip-mall or other building, there may be a company that the building owners require you to go with already, minimizing your options.
You could go to the bank and get a loan. The problem is they signs company will want some kind of security for the loan. Do you really want to sign over the deed to your house? I know I wouldn’t want to.
If you have spent time learning about fish, watching them you will know what to look for and buy those that are bright and busy fish in the displays. Look at the bodies, fins, tails for any signs of disease i.e. whitish spots, the fins should be held at the correct angle to the body for the type of fish variety. The tails complete with out tattered edges unless they are a fighting breed. There are aggressive fish; I would not recommend these until you have acquired experience in fish keeping.
Select the colors for your sign that are vibrant and easy to read. Some styles of nationalneonsigns.ca/calgary may cost more based upon the number of colors you use. Keep in mind that this is an investment, and do not skimp on your sign. It may be your only opportunity to make a good first impression. Customers will notice if your sign seems cheap, and it will affect their opinion of you.
When I first started working on electric signs, I did experience the power and pain of electricity, so first off, make sure you’re careful! If you have a neon sign, or lighted channel letters, these signs have the highest voltage, and will give you a good jolt. Make sure the power is off. I made the mistake of asking a customer to turn their sign off, and of course 15,000 volts numbed my arm. So make sure the power is off.
So if you are off to buy a magnetic sign, concentrate on getting the right material. Make sure you ask for 30 mil thickness with rounded corners. And don’t let them charge you for the rounding. It should be a standard!
